Name: Nan Colton Performance: "Living in the Sunshine"
Date: October 6, 2022
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Professional storyteller and solo actress Nan Colton will perform "Living in the Sunshine" on Thursday, October 6 at 6:30 pm, at the Safety Harbor Public Library. If you have ever wondered what it was like to visit Florida during prohibition, when bridges and railroads were being constructed and visitors were encouraged to visit “for their health”, or how purchasing swamp land was handled, then this delightful narrative into another time is bound to be entertaining and thought-provoking. Living in the Sunshine tells the story of Mrs. Tidbit, a loquacious and vivacious widow, who experiences a grand adventure touring through Florida during the Roaring 20s. Nan Colton is a produced playwright, director, storyteller, actress, and performing teaching artist performed and lectured professionally on stages throughout South Africa, Great Britain, and the United States. Nan is the Literary and Performing Artist-in-Residence at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg and has researched, produced and performed over 49 original scripted presentations. She is committed to creating and producing theatrical, solo performances and workshops that are both interactive and entertaining. Every script is historically accurate and authentically costumed. The library is located at 101 2nd Street North, Safety Harbor. Call 724-1525 x 4112 for more information or visit www.SafetyHarborLibrary.com.
