Event Description:
Why "Primavera"? In honor of today being the Spring Equinox, we want to share the inspiration behind the inaugural Primavera Music Festival. As a brainchild of a non-profit organization, Project Primavera, our festival is a celebration of local folks with a national mission: providing mentorship for at-risk youth across America, through music. The way they do so is with music workshops, mentorship and free music lessons, which they provide to orphans and at-risk youth in the Tampa Bay Area and elsewhere. To date, they have created 370 mentors in 60 cities across the United States. In Spanish, "Primavera" means "spring." It stands for new life. New growth. New everything. With community at the fulcrum of this mission, our goal is to celebrate the new life and future hope of every child that is impacted by this vision.
