Chef Warren Caterson will share kitchen tips, cooking hints, and humorous anecdotes on the joys and challenges of cooking with seafood on Thursday, June 16, 6:30 pm at the Safety Harbor Public Library. Chef Warren will answer questions including: Should I buy my seafood fresh or frozen? What’s the difference between farm-raised and wild-caught? Is one better than the other? Can canned oysters or clams be used in place of fresh? Is serving red wine with seafood acceptable? The presentation culminates with a seafood cooking demonstration, preparing a healthy seafood entrée anyone can replicate in their own home in less than 10 minutes. Chef Warren is a full-time writer and chef. He studied at the Southeast Institute of Culinary Arts and is the author of award-winning cookbooks Table for Two – The Cookbook for Couples, Table for Two – Back for Seconds, and Cooking Outside the Lines – Musings of an Extemporaneous Chef. When he’s not on the road, Chef Warren resides in Sarasota, Florida.
